ADVEN – 13 MW BIOMASS BOILER AND 13 MW ELECTRODE BOILER

Adven Oy implemented a 13 MW electrode electric boiler and a 13 MW biomass boiler in Naantali as part of an energy system for process industry. The project included the construction of new steam production capacity and its integration into the existing infrastructure. One of key elements of the project was a 36 meter-long pipe bridge, the design and execution of which required careful technical coordination and the integration of different systems.

Basic information
  • Capacity/design values: 13+13 MW / 20000 kg/h, 16 bar(g) 204 °C
  • Boiler type/fuel: Electrode boiler, biomass boiler, steam production
  • Industry: Energy / process industry
  • Location: Naantali, Finland

Ballmovers’ role
  • Engineering Manager
  • Pipe bridge concept engineering
  • Pipe bridge piping engineering
Implementation and success

Ballmovers was responsible in the project for the role of engineering manager, as well as for the concept and piping design of the pipe bridge.

The work included defining technical solutions, coordinating the design process, conducting installation inspections on site, and overseeing the execution of the pipe bridge as part of the wider energy plant complex.

A particular success of the project was that the plant was commissioned 1.5 months ahead of
schedule.
