TAMPEREEN ENERGIA – LIELAHTI 2 × 50 MW ELECTRODE BOILERS + 20 000 m³ DH-ACCUMULATOR

In Lielahti, two 50 MW electrode hot water boilers and a 2 x 10,000 m³ district heating accumulator were implemented as part of Tampere Energy’s electrification and energy efficiency project. The project included an extensive electrical, process, and civil engineering scope, including a 110 kV switcgear, a pipe bridge, construction works, and process installations. The project was carried out in a demanding power plant environment.

Implementation and success

Ballmovers was responsible for the overall project management, coordination of construction, and the planning and execution of commissioning.

The work included coordinating multiple contractors and technical disciplines within a tight schedule and in a demanding power plant environment.

A particular success of the project was effective project management and successful construction and commissioning (C&C) coordination on a challenging construction site.
